Drilling Machines

The first of our two drilling machines is a very large radial arm drill. A pillar of material would usually be placed facing upwards, with the drill arm able to pivot. This means the drill is then able to drill horizontally through the material, either creating a hole or a recess in the material. The arm itself is 5 feet 6 inches long, and the machine itself is able to drill holes into a plate up to 12 feet in diameter.

Our second drilling machine is a vertical drilling machine. Again this is used to produce holes or recesses in manufactured material. This machine is also able to put threaded holes (tapped) into the material. Both machines are able to produce very accurate and precise holes or recesses in both depth and diameter.
